History Of OSCAO

The Ogaden Somali Community Association of Ontario (OSCAO) is not-for-profit federally registered Canadain charity which was founded in 1992 by a group of concerned citizens whose objective was to help the new arrivals of the community many of whom were victims of Africa’s longest war.

OSCAO although it was founded in 1992, however it was officially registered as an Ontario Corporation on August 4th 1994. Since then OSCAO has been at the forefront in providing much needed community services such as resettlement services, skills development for adults, organized sports for the youth, , language training and the like for the Somali Community throughout Ontario.
